Save Me

SAVE ME is a social impact short film following two teenagers, connected through trauma, who embark on a cab journey in search of freedom due for online release on Wed 5th July along with a digital handbook for workshops. Written and directed by award-winning youth coach Amani Simpson, producer of the acclaimed ‘AMANI’ short film (now with nearly 4 million Youtube views) and starring A Smxlls (Popular YouTuber and TikToker) and rapper Litty Lights (Nines' Crop Circle film). It was co-created with input from young people from an Enfield Youth Club, some of whom also feature in the film.

Our film will be accompanied by a digital handbook that will help facilitate workshops along with additional interviews with the director and the lead actress exploring the scenes, themes and messages in the film. Distribution partners incl. Transport For London, NSPCC, The Princes Trust, The Mayor Of London's Violence Reduction Unit and Home Office.

SAVE ME addresses the need for contextualised safeguarding (intervention from members of the community) and covers the themes of grooming, exploitation, and consequences. It has been commissioned by Enfield Council and the VRU's Operation Engage (Enfield & Haringey) and will be used nationally as a training tool in schools, professional and community settings to help educate and empower viewers.
